Crayfish Season on Flinders Island: What to Expect

When the weather settles and the water warms, the famous Flinders Island crayfish come on. Peak season is November and December, and a generous bag limit means you can take a feed home at the end of the trip.

A day on Roxette

Our crayfish trips run aboard an 8.5 metre boat set up for the job. We set and pull pots around the coastline, and between lifts there is plenty of fishing for the other species that fill these waters. Groups of up to five can come aboard, with all gear and licences provided.

More than just cray

Most trips finish with a beach BBQ of an afternoon, cooking up gummy shark and large flathead alongside the cray. It is the full island experience in a single day on the water.
